Mullen Family Update

I am finally giving you all the update of photos that you have been waiting for. Life has been very busy for us this past month. Mike went back to Colombia, which is where he served his mission. He was gone for almost 2 weeks, so I was a very busy mom. I survived, but we definitely missed him. Zoie is now 4 1/2 months. She is rolling over and smiling and laughing all the time. She loves to talk and squeal, especially when she thinks no one is paying attention to her. Izzy is such a riot. She is talking more and more everyday. Mike picked her up the other day and was pretending to rock her and she said "I am not a baby." Here are some random pictures of our wonderful little family.

Zoie's Blessing

We blessed Zoie on September 14. My and Mike's parents came up for the occasion. Mike's brother, Kurt, was also able to be here. It was a very nice day with family and friends.

Zoie Update

Zoie is now 3 1/2 months. I took her to the doctor this week and she weighed 13lbs 10oz and was 24 3/4 in (both in the 97th percentile). She is getting cuter everyday. She is always smiling and laughing. She smiles the biggest at her big sister. She is making all sorts of noises and trying to roll over. Here are a few recent pictures.

Izzy's First Dance Class

My little girl is growing up way too fast. She started her first dance class last week. The class is called Tiny Two's. They do both tap and ballet. She was very shy at first, but by the end of class she was really getting the hang of things and having fun.

Southern California Trip

We were very fortunate to spend most of August in Southern California. My friend Julie got married in Thousand Oaks, so we decided to all go and make it our first vacation with just the 4 of us. We started out in Anaheim and went to California Adventure with Mike's mission companion, Frost. We then headed to Thousand Oaks for the wedding. Unfortunately, our camera broke right after we got a few pictures of the girls in the hotel room, so I don't have any pictures from the wedding. (By the way Julie, you looked beautiful!) Before we went to CA, we found out that Mike's family would be in San Diego at the same time as us, so we decided to stay a few extra days and enjoy that time with them. On our way down to San Diego, we stopped in Mission Viejo for the blessing of Jacob R. Mullen, Kurt and Jenn's baby. After San Diego, we still hadn't had enough of Southern California, so we stayed an extra week at Kurt and Jenn's, who were kind enough to let us use their home while they were out of town. We were able to see Jack Johnson in LA the night before we left. What a GREAT way to end a GREAT trip!
