4th of July

We had a very mellow and relaxing 4th of July this year. We went over to our friends house, the Storey's, and had a wonderful BBQ. We enjoyed nice, cool, weather and great company. We celebrated Izzy's 2nd birthday, and as you can see she and Hudson really enjoyed their cupcakes. We were home by 7:00PM, and in bed by 9:30PM. Once again, we didn't watch any fireworks (we have gone to bed before they've started for the last 3 years). Izzy had a great time with Hudson's drum set. Thanks Storey's for another fun 4th of July!!

Izzy Pretending to be the Baby

Izzy has decided that she wants to try out all of the baby's things, including her binkies. She even took her clothes off before getting into the bathtub.

Zoie's 1st Bath

Mike has been so great. He always gives the girls their baths. He started right when Izzy was born. Here are some picture of Zoie's first bath. She was a little fussy at first, but then she really enjoyed it. She loves her baths now. We all did our share of helping, including my mom and Izzy.

Izzy's New Doll

My mom decided to help Izzy put her new sister into her doll stroller. Zoie fit perfectly, and didn't seem to mind at all.

The Love of Family

We were very fortunate to have my parents and my sisters (Lizzie & Stacie) come and help out after we had Zoie. I couldn't of survived without them. They took Izzy on a lot of outings so I could enjoy some quiet time at home before things got crazy. Izzy especially enjoyed the quality time she got to spend with Papa and Lala. They watched her while Mike and I were at the hospital. I don't think she even noticed that we were gone. I was really sad to see them go, but we had a great time. Thanks for all your help!

Finally Giving In

I guess it's time for us to give in and start a blog for our family. I hope this will help keep all of you posted on what is going on with us here in Seattle. We are really enjoying it here. We live in a small town right outside of Seattle, called Monroe. We have finally just started to see the first signs of summer. We are having highs in the mid/high 70's. It's been quite an adjustment with the rain, but we are starting to get used to it. Mike is busy working for Siemens, a company that is contracted out by Microsoft. He is also busy studying, so he can pass a series of four tests by the end of the year. I just finished working for the Kid's Club at Gold's Gym. I had been the director over 7 different clubs for the past year. I am now a proud stay at home mom, with 2 beautiful girls to play with. Izzy just turned 2 on July 6, and Zoie Elizabeth, was born on June 12. They are the highlight of our lives. They keep us very busy and entertained on a daily basis. We also have 2 super cute Brussels Griffons, Mia and Kona. I am starting with quite a few posts so I can catch you all up. We hope you are all doing well; please come visit us in beautiful Seattle anytime.
